landley, I put the box w/ afghan and scarves for Fade in the mail yesterday afternoon, so should arrive at your PO Box by Thursday or so. Feel free to use the afghan yourself until Fade gets there.

Haven't done much else but sleep the last few days - I think I've been fighting off an illness. I feel slightly more awake this afternoon, so perhaps I'll do something interesting. I have finished a couple of books, and I'll post reviews on Amazon.com later today, so if some of you want to do me a favor, go read the reviews tomorrow and click the little buttons. Thank you.

Niftiness! I just mailed out the Christmas mobius scarf I made for a friend today. Er. Mailed it today, that is, as I finished it weeks ago, but it's been languishing, waiting for me to finish weaving in the ends... I think I'm going to start another one, a bit smaller for a three-ball instead of four-ball total, as soon as I hear back from the recipient about how this one went. With luck, I'll be able to do the "crochet a chain of sc stitches" thing well enough that the next scarf won't have that gappy center bit.

(I'm also considering doing a hat in this wool, but I haven't decided yet. While I like the colors and price and all that, it's a bit scratchy to stick right next to my ears.)

If you wash the finished hat in cold water and a soap made for wool, it will get softer.
