I love 2001. I love dark chocolate. But I have never heard of this origami tree, and I feel its absence in my life now that I've heard of it.

You have to see it someday. It is truly wonderful. A few years ago, the New Yorker magazine carried an article about the volunteers who fold the ornaments every year - they get obsessed about it, folding ornaments during their subway rides, etc., just as we get about crocheting stuff.

Oooh, neat. I've never heard the term before: "zipper tangerines"? Where do they call them that?

I think I first heard them called that in Boston. It made perfect sense, because you just zip the peel off.
