spouse and carness
Dec. 5th, 2005 10:06 pmHmm, we seem to have a new car. Spouse wanted to go by the Mazda dealer down the street just to discuss with them how unlikely it was that they could find the model and features S wants, and to ask about comparing Mazda financing to E-loan's. Well, three hours later we were going home in a 2006 Mazda 6, four-door, sport package with moonroof and power seats and a couple other doodads, stick shift of course. How you can tell a friendly dealership: the finance person hugs you when the deal is completed. And the salesguy wants to buy two of my hats for his daughter and her best friend. And I may be giving crochet lessons later this week, if it keeps snowing so that things are really slow over there. Oh, it's a grey color that they call Pebble Ash. And the salesguy helped us move stuff from the old car to the new one, and wasn't even faintly fazed by the tuba; he claims to have had people come in for test drives with, among other things, a cello, and a bass drum.
Movie trivia, which we were discussing with above people:
Howard Hanson's 2nd Symphony is featured in what SF movie? (The person with the correct answer wins... nothing, actually, but we will think of several shiny pennies in connection with your name.)
