Have spent this afternoon unpacking more books. The goal right now is to get to the closet in the guest bedroom. This will let us put some unused formal/out-of-season clothes in there, plus it's a step in the direction of getting that room cleared enough to put a sofa-futon in it for when our friend Cindy arrives on Dec. 10th.

In said unpacking frenzy, we finally found: the keys to S's bike - which is currently at Bob's having repairs done, including changing out the lock because we couldn't find the keys... and we found numerous kitchen things I had almost forgotten about. Some of which will go on freecycle because we really don't need them, probably should have given them away long ago. Not paid movers to carry them 1600 miles.

Doctor visit yesterday went well. Got my pacemaker checked by a Guidant rep, and she and the doc consulted and then changed some of the settings on it - I'm doing well enough that they want to let my heart do more of its own work. All my labwork looks good. I'm scheduled for an echocardiogram in two weeks. Based on the lab work and pacemaker readings, doc suspects I'm improved, but the echo will be a better check - we'll see what my ejection fraction turns out to be. I know I've been feeling better - sleeping too much, but when I'm awake, far stronger than I was, say, a year ago. Being out of the Texas heat has just done wonders for me. If I'm really lucky, I'll have to give up my disability pension and go back to work! Gotta fix things so I don't need 12 hours sleep a day, though - right now, I don't see how I could work without taking naps; I'm supposed to exercise a bit more to help with that. The changes in the pacer will also help with getting more exercise, since it won't be keeping my heart rate too low. We shall see.

Gizmo bun was out and getting a good hop around while we were unpacking books downstairs. He did a bit of sneaking up on and chasing Pickle. We have covered the exposed electrical cords down there, but there's still some telephone wire to worry about, so we can't let the rabbits loose without us down there.
