Serenity, the movie

bunrabThe people at Universal sponsoring the bloggers' screening bonanza asked people who took advantage of it to mention the movie, maybe even a synopsis. So here it is:
A few of the people we like get killed, but there's generally a happy ending.
The moral of the story is one of the following, and the other is a corollary; I'm not sure which is which:
A. You cannot make people perfect, and
B. The Law of Unintended Consequences will catch up with you.
Other comments:
the music is not overall memorable. Nothing wrong with it, just nothing memorable about it. A few Paul Winter-ish sounding moments, but only vaguely.
there are enough smart-ass comments to make sure you laugh.
there was a rabid fan there from the Mid-Atlantic Browncoats selling bumper stickers (among other things) that said "WWJD What Would Jayne Do? (Besides bring grenades.)"
one of the things I like about Simon is that he has never said, "I'm a doctor, Mal, not a ______!"
And so to bed.
