We're here! Gaaaaah, but we're here
Jun. 18th, 2005 11:00 pmWe got here yesterday evening, later than expected, just barely in time to pick up keys to apt. Moving people got here at 10:30 this morning. Comedy of errors ensued; finally finished up at 8:30 PM. Meanwhile, S returned the RV to Linden NJ by way of stopping just north of Phila. to meet up with my sister Steph; then she drove S home to Elkridge, and drove back to Phila. A very long day for her.
THANK YOU STEPHANIE!!!
Also thank you to: Cindy, for all sorts of things too numerous to mention. THANK YOU CINDY
Thank you to Dana for driving S to Dallas to pick up the RV. And to Anita for helping with last minute packing. Lots of last minute packing.
Thank you to
landley and
fadethecat who basically packed our entire kitchen for us, and made sure nothing remained behind in the upstairs closets.
Right now, we don't have internet hookup yet at the apartment, so I'm using the complex's business center. More about that when I can sit down at my leisure. I am about to go dig out my helmet and ride the bike over to the drugstore 3 blocks away to see if it happens to be a 24-hour one, so we can buy more supplies - last night we used the RV to drive to Target and pick up several lamps and a lot of whatnot.
Anyway, we're alive, all the critters are alive (some still stinky; I got half of them cleaned and back into their big cages, but...) and we have a place to sleep. And it's dropping below 70 degrees right now.
