Another dozen boxes to storage

bunrabAnd while we were there, I bought some of their boxes, of a size to put framed pictures in. We have pictures - paintings, posters, etc - that have never been hung up in this house, because we were waiting till we got around to repainting the walls, and in 9 years, we hadn't gotten around to repainting the walls in most rooms.
Games Night this evening - not everybody liked Time's Up, but I like it, in part because there's such a bizarre mixture of names.
We have too many books. And things. And stuff. I packed up some of the decorative plates. And a few of my assorted framed certificates, and S's maps of county roads, and old high school year books, and math textbooks from my brief attempt at studying actuarial science. I'll sell a few of those - I don't really need, for example, three separate statistics textbooks from three separate grad-school adventures. I'll save ONE of them. And ONE calculus book. And ONE book on how to design a quantitative survey, and ONE on how to do a qualitative survey. (No, I can't get rid of them all; you never know when I might need to do a statistic!!)

the_curmudgn along with whole bunch of old-house magazines I've promised him. I'll save some of the old-house stuff, though; for one thing, who knows what age house we'll wind up with in MD? For another, I think I will artfully leave out on an end table, once the house is on the market, a few of the books about 1919 and that era, and a couple of relevant magazines. Style 1900 and American Bungalow are such gorgeous magazines; it can't help but raise the tone of the whole house.
Back to watching Firefly DVDs. All we've got left to watch is the three unaired episodes and the final episode. I get a lot of afghan blocks done while watching, too!
