At the aquarium, of course! I've gotta take a picture of your stingray, too - these pics were taken a couple evenings ago, before your ornament was added to the tree.
Ooh, I haven't been there since last year! I have a special fondness for cephalopods after doing most of my upper-level bio projects on them. and they're delicious!
Do you mind sharing the details? What gauge canvas (are there different gauges?) How big are the links? Yarn? Embroidery floss? Ribbon? Beads?
Just idle curiosity....how long is your chain?
I have a chain made from gum wrappers. Made in my youth. Some 65 feet long, I believe. It's always gone on the Christmas tree. Butwe've not put up the big tree this year. Maybe I should cut it up and wrap some styrofoam trees with it and give each boy a three tree forest (when they have their own homes, that is.)
Yes, several different gauges of plastic canvas. Most of the links are circles about an inch to an inch and a half in diameter (so pieces of canvas that start out as 3 to 4 inch strips) and about 1/3 to 1/2 inch wide. Mostly embroidery floss, but there's ribbon, metallic braid, and even scraps of knitting yarn used in there. No beads, as it's a pain to string beads - since I use the bigger needles for plastic canvas, I'd have to switch needles and add tiny thread to get beads strung.
The chain's only about 10 feet so far - these links take longer than gum wrappers! I have about another 6 inches worth of plastic scraps from the past few month's worth of making stingrays, and those will get added to the chain before New Year's.
One year, when I worked for the Texas Department of Insurance - no, wait, this story deserves a post all its own.
