bikergeek; the results will surprise no one at all, given that I did, in fact, grow up on LI near the city (most of the time) and in Queens (some of the time) and worked in the city for a while, commuting on the the Long Island SnailRoad.
If I made 6 figures a year, I truly would think seriously about living in the city. And for those of us who grew up near NYC, there is only one "the city." (I imagine people who grew up right near or in London have the same attitude toward their city.)

I don't think I'd live in NYC for any amount of money. My life at this point is all about having garage space for the bikes and access to good twisties.
