bunrabSinger of Souls by Adam Stemple - a strange little fantasy. With a different ending. Former junkie, street folk singer, meets one of the Sidhe unawares, strange things start happening. Not bad for a first effort, although it's got flaws.
Reduced Shakespeare: the Complete Guide for the Attention-Impaired - Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor, the guys who are the Reduced Shakespeare Company. No, this is not a serious Shakespeare book. In fact, you wouldn't even be able to use it for cribbing on a test. However, it is funny, and there is a very useful list of movies of Shakespeare plays, evaluated from the point of view of whether they're good movies rather than whether they're "accurate" Shakespeare. And it includes reviews of the notoriously bad Shakespeare movies as well. So what more could you want?
