I just don't feel like it this week.
I do have to admit that my stuffed animals do not spend all their time sitting on the headboard. They do take turns sleeping with me. I try not to play favorites, but I have to admit that some are easier to nap with than others. Among the Giant Microbes, for example, Shigella with his smooth shape and little fringe is easier than e.coli with the weirdly placed strands of "hair" and among the multi-celled animals, the nice flattish, very plush, cow-nosed ray is less of a problem if one rolls over than the limbed, tailed, and pointy-muzzled ring-tailed lemur. Chtulhu is entirely too large and tentacly to cuddle up with, but the platypus is nice and snuggly.
The Montgomery Village Community Band played an outdoor concert today, and it was possibly one of the windiest concerts I have ever played. We had to cut it short, leaving out any piece that was over 2 pages long, because everyone needed so many clothes pins and other fasteners and weights, that turning pages would have been impossible without just declaring a moment's rest between one measure and the next. So we played all the one-page pieces, one longer piece, and called it a day. Over a dozen of us went out for Chinese and hot tea afterward - a stiff breeze like that one creates quite a wind chill even when the air temp is almost 70.
The Ikea wardrobe is all assembled, arranged, and rearranged into what's probably its final configuration. So now we have more closet space. Whee!
