...and long hours spent listening at folk clubs, watching films at home, etc. If I'm not knitting when I'm sitting down, the kids think there's something wrong with me.
Most of my crocheting is down while watching tv. I can't just watch tv. I feel guilty that I'm not accomplishing anything... so I crochet. Or maybe I'm so addicted to crochet I feel I should also do something else, so I watch tv. Either way.
My crochet gets done when I'm trying to write smut. My knitting gets done when I'm waiting for Sims 2 to alt-tab back to its own window, as that's about six to ten stitches worth of loading time right there...
Oh, I can't just watch TV either. I only watch 4 hours a week - 3 CSI's and Without A Trace - but I can't just sit there. Most of the hats I made for those Christmas bazaars were while watching TV. There's a 1-CSI pattern and a 2-CSI pattern!!
What I do while waiting for booting and loading, which is abysmally slow on this computer, is pay the snail-mail type bills (as vs. the online automatic bill-pay bills). As they arrive in the mail, I put them in a little basket right next to the printer, and then whenever I'm waiting for the computer, I pull a handful of envelopes out of the basket.
