nothing much to say today

Things are slowly getting back to normal. Last night I cleaned one of the guinea pig cages - spouse has been trying, but really has never quite caught on to the efficient way to get it done and thoroughly lined with newspapers so that it's easier to do the next time things need cleaning. And I gave the chinchillas their dust bath. And gave everyone crunchy treats.

I started another sock - I think I can get back to larger projects soon; yes, Anita, that includes your poncho!

You all lead more interesting lives than I do. And you know such interesting things! (Food microbiology! Finnish!)

I beg to differ. My life is so much less interesting than yours. And I know nothing that would qualify me as an expert or even close. I am the most general of generalists, knowing a little about a lot of stuff, being expert in nothing.

No, no, my dear Alphonse, YOU lead the more interesting life. Fewer medical disasters, perhaps, but you have things like a job and co-workers and also, you recognize flowers when you see them!
