not gonna pay $10 a night for internet

Which is what the hotel in North Carolina wanted for internet access. So, no posts from there.

We drove down to Durham for the wedding of my niece Christine and then a shower for my brother Gene's fiancee Jen. It's about a 5.5 hour drive from here, including a mild amount of traffic. We didn't really have time to see anything in the area tourist-wise, which is too bad - we really want to visit Duke University Primate Center sometime, because of the lemurs! Maybe next time.

Anyhoo, the wedding was nice, they seem so young, all that good stuff. I'll see almost everyone again next weekend at Gene's wedding. We drove back up and got home Saturday evening, to great complaints from the critters. Who are all fine. Now to lunch.

No, this is a different one that I didn't start till we were in the RV. I am still working on the many-colored ripple one, which is for the couple that got married last weekend. (Meantime I sent them the cheapest thing on their Mikasa registry, just so they'd get something on time...)
