I had a bunch of leftover bits of yarn from all the hats I made for relatives, so the last couple of evenings, I matched them up for relative consistency and crocheted them into simple hats - the kind you'd call a tocque or a watch cap depending on where you live, just the basic hat-with-a-cuff. Got 7 of them made. Went over to local homeless shelter this afternoon, gave them to the first 7 guys without a hat - since yesterday's temp was in the 50's and today it never made it to 40, it stayed in the 30's, hats are useful. The guys seemed to appreciate it - they put the hats on immediately. (And it was even quicker than making cat and dog afghans for Hugs For Homeless Animals!!)
