brief report from Slovenia

We only have a couple nights here in Bled, Slovenia. The drive from Croatia to Slovenia was interesting - watching the landscape and architecture change from being "eastern Italy" to "southern Germany" in style and attitude. Even multi-lane divided highway called autobahn! But still enough twisty roads that our tour bus with attached trailer has been having trouble - an 18 meter bus plus another 4 meters of trailer carrying our percussion instruments and tubas. On our way here we visited the Lipizanner horse farm - the summer farm where they rest up when they are not being trained in Austria - and some caves, which I did not go through. So far my little folding disabled-persons' scooter is holding up fine.

Good pizza here. And cream cake.
