AFK till Sunday evening

I'll try to check in briefly, but probably won't get much chance. I'll be up in NY doing music stuff with a friend from forever ago - we played violin together in our elementary school orchestra back in 1961, and she still lives in the same house; we're going to hit up some of the big sheet music stores in NYC, and she's playing fiddle in a couple Celtic groups at some kind of gathering, and we're going to haul out various early music books and do stuff on recorder and violin, and all that kind of stuff. And stuff. I am taking Amtrak up there - given currently required early arrival times at airports and all, it is quicker to take the train from Penn Sta., Baltimore to Penn Sta., NY, than to fly. Plus I can get a decent lunch on the train. And carry all my shampoo and toothpaste.

Anyway, if you don't see me making comments on y'all's stuff for several days, that's why.

When I get back, we start Bel Air band rehearsals on Monday, and we're going to the State Fair up in Timonium on Tuesday, and the Montgomery Village Band is playing a concert Wednesday, and then next Friday, weather permitting, we're taking the bikes to Pittsburgh to visit landley and fadethecat and do some Mensa-related stuff.

So all in all, I may be posting, and reading the posts of others, rather sparsely for the next week and a half.

Oh - saw another electrophysiologist this a.m. Looks like I'm gonna be getting another ICD/pacemaker, probably in September. Whee. (Can you just hear my enthusiasm?)

But meanwhile, music!! Whee!!
