I meant to go see it Thursday last week, which was faculty discount night, but I was feeling too tired to go - I slept through that whole afternoon and evening. So I went tonight instead, dragging along a couple other people who are not really Shakespeare fans but are willing to humor me. That was fun! Really neat costuming, especially Oberon and his court. About half the cast is either current or former students of mine. It's really too bad Persephone couldn't have been in this one, perhaps as one of the woodland creatures?

The girls playing the assorted fairies did a really nice job on the songs. And everyone was very athletic. And the music for Oberon and Titania's dance was done entirely by having the fairies drum on the set with their hands, with multiple overlaid rhythms, extremely effective. I really enjoyed that!!

My TBR pile is growing ever higher. I seem to be two months behind on several magazines. I've got a BookCrossing bookring book I must read and move along. I have a whole pile of clippings to sort through. And I have packing to do. Lovely, fun packing.
