Aug. 11th, 2004 05:00 pmYesterday's magazines were Time and Science News. No magazines today at either of my PO Boxes; mail hasn't arrived here at the house yet.
I am Amazon reviewer number 783, down a notch, even though I have 934 votes, up one.
There's supposed to be a "cold front" coming in tonight, meaning that tomorrow's high temperature will be in the 80's instead of the 90's. We'll be back to pushing 100 by the weekend. However, for at least a couple days, expect me to be spending more time zipping around than sitting inside. Today, sitting at traffic lights was a pain; when the outdoor temp is higher than normal body temp, it's really oppressive. As long as I'm moving, I'm fine, but I start getting lightheaded when I don't have that evaporative cooling.
I'll be teaching 2 sections of COSC 1301 (HTML) and one of COSC 1318 (Excel and Access) for fall; classes start the 23rd. Adjunct faculty meeting next Monday, pick up new parking sticker, see if I'm still the only faculty motorcycle... I'm guessing yes, but there are more student bikes every year, so I like to think I'm a good influence.
