new mattress!! making offer on house!!
The new mattress got delivered this morning. Woo! I went back to sleep for a couple hours. It's a firm mattress, but so much softer than sleeping on a foam pad and folded over old comforter on the floor!
We are making an offer on a house this afternoon, contingent on selling our house in Austin. Don't know if the seller will accept such a contingent offer. We'll see. It's a nice little house - not so little, either, if you count the fact that there's a finished basement and an attic finished into a guest room and bathroom. It's close to everything we like - pizza one block away! Chinese food 2 blocks away! More if they accept our offer...

I keep creating odd lumps. The latest one looks like...um. A misshapen lump with a wide base. Partly because I keep experimenting with increases and decreases in different places to see how I can actually shape things, but with nothing particular in mind. Maybe I should try to make a specific critter, see how it comes out.
(Now, if I could only find the blasted Lion Brand Chenille I need for that one teddy bear pattern, instead of buying other spiffy squishy yarn that's very nice but not the right weight. Mrfle. Perfectly good squishy-soft coffee-colored yarn, and it's bulky weight. Don't have any bulky-weight teddy-bear patterns.)
