Greetings from Pittsburgh

At some point when we have a faster connection, I will describe Thursday's family T-day, but for some reason, everything here has slowed down to a crawl, so I'll save words. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh! You know what Pittburgh has that Baltimore doesn't? Half-Price Books, that's what! A couple of bags of books are now in the car trunk. It's been a beautiful day, sunny and almost September in its temperatures.
One of the cats had an adventure before R & F had a chance to get her spayed, so there are little tiny kittens here, eyes not open yet. Tooooo cute.
We are roasting a turkey even as I speak, and there is stuffing with chestnuts in it, and in a minute I am going to go toss some potatoes with olive oil and rosemary and add them to the oven, after squirrel_magnet gets back from the supermarket with aluminum foil and potholders. R & F have more of a household than they used to, but it's still a bit short of the number of casserole dishes and stuff needed to make a full dinner. Hint to anyone considering getting fadethecat and landley a gift for some occasion or another: they need a set of mixing bowls, and a good cutting board. A couple of Corningware/Pyrex/generic tempered glass casserole dishes for baking stuff in the oven wouldn't hurt, either. Just my opinion.
